Basic Course
The student will learn basic hand gun fundamentals; weapons maintenance, weapon retention, breathing techniques, sight alignment, trigger squeeze, manipulation of controls, loading and unloading ammo into magazine. Shooting stance, holding weapons with both hand, single shoots and single targets. The student will also learn the California gun laws pertaining to purchase of a weapon, licensing a weapon, vehicle transportation and home weapon storage.
For the BASIC SHOT GUN and BASIC RIFLE COURSE; regardless what weapon course a student may elect to enroll? Advance Course
The advance courses are designed for those individuals that have past the basic hand gun course or have demonstrated that they are efficient in the techniques that are covered under the basic hand gun course. Or the Firearm Instructor has weaved the student to the advance course only then they can enroll in the advance course.
The student in the advance course will learn; review basic handgun fundamentals, and tactical training of drawing weapon from a holster, emergency reloading and tactical loading. One hand shooting techniques; strong hand vs weak hand, stance; standing, kneeling and prone positions, tactical walking, shoot and move, double tapping and multiple tapping, shooting at multiple targets, lethal force vs non-lethal force options; identifying threats, course of action, cover vs concealment, decision making and verbal commands. For the ADVANCE SHOT GUN and ADVANCE RIFLE COURSE; regardless what weapon course a student may elect to enroll? The student in the advance course will learn; a quick review basic handgun fundamentals and tactical training of drawing weapon from its sling, emergency reloading and tactical loading. Proper positioning of support hand vs shooting hand techniques; strong hand vs weak hand, stance; standing, kneeling and prone positions, tactical walking, shoot and move, double tapping and multiple tapping, shooting at multiple targets, lethal force vs non-lethal force options; identifying threats, course of action, cover vs concealment, decision making and verbal commands. |
